Motivation for At-Home Workout

Motivation for At-Home Workout

We have all had the thought to start working out at home. Especially with the last few years of staying inside, the need for in-home exercise is higher than ever. But how do you even start when it can feel more daunting working in your home? Here are some tips that will help you get up and moving!

  • Set aside a time to work out. Add it to your schedule and stick to it! This will give you a more structured idea of what your routine will look like.

  • Stop making excuses! I say this as a person who also struggles with this: you are home. This is your gym and you’re already here which is famously the hardest part of working out. You got this!

  • Get your friends to join you. Video chat or sync your fitness trackers to challenge each other to get up and moving! Do a class together online, and after you can all cool down and catch up.

  • Create a dedicated exercise space. Make a corner your work out area and keep it clean and ready for use. Be purposeful with maintaining this as your “gym” space.

  • Push Yourself. You are stronger than you think, and once you get into the habit of working out at home, you will feel much better and will set yourself up for success.
