Apples are a great grab and go snack! One medium apple contains only (about) 100 calories and is packed with nutrients. Apples are high in insoluble fiber which promotes heart health and lowers cholesterol levels. They are also loaded with vitamin C – keep in mind that almost half of an apple's vitamin C content is just under the skin, so it's a good idea to eat apples with the skin on. Apples are also high in polyphenols which contain the antioxidants that promote health and lower the risk of disease.  Try dipping these delicious snacks in peanut or almond butter for an added treat!
