Tips For Dealing With Grief
First, you are not alone. Even though most people put their best face forward on social media and even in interactions with others, everyone experiences loss.
Second, simplify. We get overwhelmed by the complexity of our losses and all the questions that come to mind. Simplify and reduce the world to only today and stay inside the grace of this one day.
Third, let people in. Healing comes through community and relationships.
Fourth, be willing to let the loss go. This is more difficult for some. The loss becomes an identity and sometimes a prison that we begin to call a sanctuary.
Finally, let yourself grieve. Don't suppress the presence of the wounds of loss.
